I joined a number of dating services (most well before I'd even considered divorce, actually, for a client, trying to determine which one was sending him so much SPAM).
Today, eHarmony sent me some advice about how to 'end' a conversation. It's much longer in the original, but here's the Cliff's Notes version:
1) don't lie
2) don't be rude
3) don't lie like a rug, make up a simpler lie instead
4) don't go along with a conversation looking for an escape
5) don't be mean
The underlying reasoning behind these behaviors?
Even if the conversation has lost its spark, you never know if this meeting may be beneficial in the future.
