So, he doesn't get into it till three minutes in and it's not the full song, but, whatever.

Really?

Yes, really.

Wow!

RT is Russia Television. You can watch them (in English, of course) at http://rt.com (easy to type, too, eh?).

WASHINGTON (AP) - An Israeli pre-emptive attack on Iran's nuclear sites could draw the U.S. into a new Mideast conflict, a prospect dreaded by a war-weary Pentagon wary of new entanglements.

Now, given that the US has already been caught using drones to spy on Iran, and we have the capacity to detect radiation, I would venture a guess that the reason we aren't siding with Israel on this issue is because we aren't detecting a bomb, or a bomb-factory.

One has to wonder what Israel's motivation for starting WWIII is?

Perhaps it's merely more press time.  If it wasn't for all those stories about bombing Iran, the news might be about the ongoing war crimes and atrocities in occupied Palestine.

I'm tired of all the "sources" who "say".  I remember when newspapers had quotes.  I'd like to see more of them.  Certainly it was "sources" that told us about the WMDs in Iraq.

I'd like to tax them, by the citation.  It wouldn't prevent the use of an unnamed source, but it would make it a business decision.

It would likely put Fox out of business.

Does AIPAC want war?

If the experts and Western officials who believe that Iran already has "the knowledge and technology necessary to build a nuclear weapon" are right, then what that says is that Iran has already crossed the "red line" of the Lieberman bill. And therefore, the supporters of the Lieberman bill are saying that they are ready for war today.
David Lazar was named Sweden's heterosexual of the year by the magazine QX. Long active in gay and lesbian issues, the American-born rabbi who leads Stockholm's main synagogue is one of a small number of Conservative rabbis to preside over gay commitment ceremonies, something he did even before the movement liberalized its stance towards homosexuality in 2006. His trailblazing has been recognized before: In Israel, Lazar received the Yakir Hakehila from the Tel Aviv gay community. "I could probably be in the Guiness Book of World Records," Lazar joked. "I'm the only rabbi with a gay award on two continents."

Troll Sends a History Lesson

Lincoln Never Said THIS "You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time." Abraham Lincoln did NOT say this.

He also did not say:

• "The strength of the nation lies in the homes of its people."
• "To sin by silence, when they should protest, makes cowards of men."
• "There's no honorable way to kill, no gentle way to destroy. There's nothing good in war except its ending."
• "You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.''

Who says Lincoln didn't say any of these famous quotes long attributed to him? The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, that's who. It's on a quest to expose the truth about our 16th president in the name of intellectual and scholarly honesty. Lincoln may have said a lot in his time--things we still hear today on everything from lighthearted TV commercial jingles to serious speeches by public officials--but he didn't say all the things that are credited to him, reports The Associated Press.

"It's simply Lincoln's own status as a cultural exemplar that make these spurious quotations seem credible," Rodney Davis, co-director of the Lincoln Studies Center at Knox College in Galesburg, explained to AP. "He seems to provide validation for just about anything anybody wants to have validated, and if you can't find a Lincoln quote, you make one up."

So where did these quotes come from, if not from President Lincoln?

"You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time."

This was thought to be part of a speech Lincoln gave in September 1858 in Clinton, Illinois, but the line is not included in the text that was printed in the local newspaper. It was attributed to Lincoln in 1910 when two people remembered hearing him say it in 1856--54 years later.

"The strength of the nation lies in the homes of its people."

This is widely quoted on the Web sites of homebuilders and real estate agents, but Lincoln never uttered it. However, in August 1928, President Herbert Hoover said something close: "The foundation of American life rests upon the home and the family."

To sin by silence, when they should protest, makes cowards of men."

This was credited to Lincoln by Douglas MacArthur in a 1950 speech after his release as commander of the United Nations forces in Korea. It is actually a line from a poem by Ella Wheeler Wilcox.

"There's no honorable way to kill, no gentle way to destroy. There's nothing good in war except its ending."

This was said by an actor playing Abraham Lincoln in an episode of "Star Trek." Lincoln himself never said this.

"You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.''

These are three of the famous "Ten Cannots" with which Lincoln has been incorrectly credited even as recently as 1992 when President Ronald Reagan quoted these lines in a speech before the Republican National Convention. Who did write the "Ten Cannots"? The Rev. William J.H. Boetcker, a Presbyterian clergyman, wrote those words in 1916.

I will always love you

I had a jacket just like Burt's back then.  Did you know that a hit of Purple MicroDot could get lost in that fleece and later stick to your retainer?

I sure didn't.

British film director Sir Ridley Scott launched a global film making contest for aspiring directors. It's titled "Tell It Your Way". There were over 600 entries.

The film could be no longer than three minutes, contain only 6 lines of narrative & be a compelling story. The winner was "Porcelain Unicorn" from American director Keegan Wilcox.

It's a story of the lifetimes of two people who are totally opposite, yet, very much the same - all told in less than 3 minutes.

You'll see why it won.

Cool! It worked!

I never liked her.  I remember when she came out, and I thought her vocalizations were overly stylized and melodramatic.

That opinion hasn't changed a whit now that's she's not.

I thought that her personal life was a travesty, as well.  Makes mine look pristine.

I've been taking a vacation, working on my cure (nearly done, in almost every way--I'm amazed at the synchronization--I suspect that my arthritis, my allergies, my gastrointestinal issues and my "rash" will be gone on the same day, as well as my like of sugar, drink and tobacco).

That said, I'm absolutely unimpressed with this bunch of morons with memory issues that I live with.

To wit, what's up with you folks and Iran?  Aren't you paying attention, or do you just not care?

I mean, look at the "evidence".  It's presented by two KNOWN liars (the US Government and the Israeli Government).

The guys who are telling us that the Iranians have secret "WMD"s are the SAME folks who told us the Iraqis had them.

The IAEA has NOT released any new information which would indicate this was true.  They have re-released old information since the new chief (bought by the US) was installed, but still have no unfulfilled requests pending investigation in Iran.  In other words, they don't think there are nukes in Iran.

Today, bombs were set in India and Georgia, which "targeted" Israeli diplomats.  No Israeli diplomats were killed (in fact, in Georgia, the bomb didn't even go off).

The Israeli government came out within hours saying it "knew" it was the Iranians.

The Iranians have previously claimed that they were going to retaliate against the USA and Israel for killing all it's nuke scientists.

The method used against the Israeli diplomats was the same method used against the Iranian scientists (magnetic bombs on cars).

For one to believe this bogus report, one first has to forget that the intelligence sources in question are liars who have literally lied us into war, and that the one KNOWN nuclear power in the mideast (Israel has over 200 nukes per our OWN estimates) lies about it to this day, and DOES NOT participate in the IAEA (since they lie about it).  You'd also have to forget that Israel has attacked the US (google the "Liberty" attack), and that they are currently in violation of the UN Charter inasmuch as they have occupied a foreign country and are attempting genocide by attrition.

And you'd have to believe that the Iranians would try to hide something that they said they were going to do (which one would presume would be a "pride" thing, and which they'd claim, even if it only got close).

And you'd have to believe that the Iranians decided not to go for the "big hit" and picked a bunch of nobodies to "hit".

So I've got this land in Florida I can let you steal for pennies on the gallon.  It's a great investment in a time of total world war.  You should pick it up while it's still cheap.

I live in an asylum, but we're all locked in here, and the doctors are nuttier than the patients.
