I tell you, once you see the differences, and the implications, it's a far better theory to consider that it's perhaps a 'present' from someone older and wiser (hoping to get some other wiser critters wising up).
The odds that a rock swirling about us in space is going to be exactly the same diameter as our primary star are just too ludicrous to consider, given the possibilities. It's far more likely that Slartibartfast put it there.
