Abram was from "Ur".

I just set up a new city in  I decided my new naming convention was going to be the word 'city' in various scripts.  I picked 'Yiddish' (after Greek and Macedonian).  I went to the phonetic transliteration site to see how to 'say' the name.

'Eir' (Ur).

Abram?  He was city-folk.
