Wednesday: Dinner, foot washing, hanging at the mount of olives.
Thursday: (everyone else) last minute prep for passover (Jesus) dies early enough to be fully dead before dinner (Thursday night begins holy time)
Friday day is holy time, which leads into Friday night as holy time (Sabbath)
Saturday day is holy time (end of Sabbath) and Saturday night is dark.
Sunday morning is the first morning anyone could show up.
Thursday night, since it was passover, would have been a night in which they should have stayed home, one would think, rather than wandering off into the olive grove.
Wednesday makes more sense, and then 'Good Thursday'.
