The founders considered a number of things "inalienable rights".

Patents (ideas, and the right to profit from them), weren't one of them.

If John Galt were to withdraw, we'd just do his designs off-patent, generic.

It's not like he's a 'right' to his ideas.

He's a privilege to them, granted by the Constitution.

It can be revoked.
