believe we've got just a short time on this planet and we've got to make the most of it. For me that means peace. Peace - and justice. Humor me for a minute. Right now, while you're reading this, take a look inside your wallet. A couple credit cards. Some crumpled receipts. Photos of your sweeties. Well, at least that's my wallet. |

But here's the thing. What does all that stuff say about you? And what would you be saying if your Jewish Voice for Peace membership card was in your wallet too? Every time you paid a bill, or thought of your sweetie, you'd also remember that you've got a job to do on this earth, and it's peace. Peace, with justice. Here's what being a member of Jewish Voice for Peace means: --thanking courageous public personalities like American TV's Jon Stewart for telling the truth about the terrible conditions of those living in Gaza, and how Israel's treatment of Palestinians does not protect, but endangers, Israeli civilians who equally deserve to live in peace. The prospects for peace in Israel and Palestine are greater now than they have been for many years. President Obama is calling for dialogue, thousands of Israeli citizens are calling for an end to the Occupation, and we at Jewish Voice for Peace are working extra hard to be a part of this unstoppable movement. The truth is it's going to take a lot of people to do that job, and we'd be lucky to count you as one of them. |
