You can tell some things about bad people, for instance, they are going to appear to be good ones, for the most part.
This doesn't mean you should be suspicious of the good people, but rather that you should not place any weight on the idea of how they 'appear' since the bad ones will appear the same as the good.
But still, there's ways to tell, for instance, the 'why do you go to church' question.
It's like sniffing out replicants.
