Hemp as a drug II

The most prepared hemp dish in islamic countries is the so-called Majoon.

Here is a recipe from Morocco:

  • roast one cup of excellent weed (full bloom) slightly on a low flame and then pulverize it. 
    Add:
  • 1/2 a cup of fine chopped dates
  • 1/2 a cup of almonds or nuts
  • 1/2 a cup of chopped dried figs
  • 1/4 a cup of honey
  • 1/4 a cup of water
  • 1/2 a teaspoonful of ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoonful of aniseed (optional)

Simmer on a low flame until the dates and figs are soft.
Afterwards stir in a tablespoonful of butter; when cold pour with 5 tablespoonful of orange blossom water.

This results in a candy to be cut into little cubes. Serve mint tea to go with it.
