Still Waiting on Ecotopia

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
In Ecotopia: The Notebooks and Reports of William Weston, one of the plot points is the development of a fairly low-tech way to take out an attack helicopter.

In short, it's a can of guywire.

You shoot it up under compressed air, and the guywire uncoils in transit.

When it gets to the helicopter, it gets all tangled in the propeller.

The helicopter needs the propeller to go round and round to keep it up.

Ergo, it falls.

I'd sure like to see the Palestinians try that out on the Israelis.

I bet those 'ants' would like to feast on a grasshopper.
