The Minnesota Voters Alliance is a citizens' group formed in the interest of liberty, transparency in government and a well-informed electorate.
Our main goals are to:
Stop the undemocratic and unconstitutional Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) scheme.
We are planning a petition in St. Paul (and Duluth) to require photo I.D. at the polls.
Work to restore the partisan-basis election format to Cities of the First Class. (i.e. Minneapolis & St. Paul)
Promote the preservation of our right to elect our Judges, which is now being threatened.
Gee. One might get the uninformed idea that IRV was a BAD thing, listening to them. But their logic is irrefutable. If one votes IRV, and one happens to pick the winner, one's first vote is the ONLY one counted, unlike those people who might have picked the winner as their fifth choice out of six (or so).
But the fact that their logic is correct doesn't imply that the results aren't better than the two-hundred year old system that we came up with at first.

BTW, the judge understood their logic, but also thought that this wasn't a BAD thing.
Some people just view change as bad, yano?
