On Teamwork

I'm ok with being on a 'team' if there's a decent coach on the team.

By this, I mean, for example, if I was a running back, and I said to the coach, "I think you should replace the quarterback, since when I run upfield, he throws the ball into the seats."

Now, the coach can make his call, but if he keeps the QB, it's going to be very difficult to motivate me to run upfield, since I know there's no point to the exercise.

It gets more difficult if the voice-over in the stadium is remarking on how I didn't catch the ball, rather than pointing out that the ball went into the crowd, too.

Some coaches are really just insane, when it comes down to it.
